Buttock Implants (Gluteoplasty)
Gluteoplasty or more commonly referred to as Buttock Implants is a procedure that gives a shapeless bottom a more rounded and well defined shape. A 5 centimeter vertical incision is made between the buttock cheeks in the tailbone area and a pocket is created behind the upper buttock muscle where the silicone implants are placed. The positioning of the implants is discussed with the patient ahead of the surgery. The incisions are stitched once the procedure is completed and the scar will be barely visible a year on. The surgery can take anywhere between 1.5 to 3 hours.
